EC/Ukraine Partnership and Cooperation Agreement: Protocol to take account of the accession of Bulgaria and Romania

PURPOSE: to include Romania and Bulgaria in the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the European Community and its Member States and Ukraine.

LEGISLATIVE ACT: Council and Commission Decision 2007/644/EC, Euratom concerning the conclusion of the Protocol to the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA) between the European Communities and their Member States, of the one part, and Ukraine, of the other part, on accession of the Republic of Bulgaria and Romania to the PCA.

PURPOSE: with this decision, the Protocol to the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA) between the European Communities and their Member States, of the one part, and Ukraine, of the other part, on accession of the Republic of Bulgaria and Romania to the PCA is hereby approved on behalf of the European Community, the European Atomic Energy Community and the Member States.

To recall, the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA) between the EU and Ukraine entered into force on 1 March 1998 (see AVC/1994/0136).
