The Committee on Legal Affairs adopted the report drafted by Mr Francesco Enrico SPERONI (UEN, IT) approving, under the first reading of the codecision procedure, the proposal for a directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on the suppression of radio interference (electromagnetic compatibility) produced by agricultural or forestry tractors (codified version).
Although the proposal was not the subject of ‘formal’ amendments by the committee, the proposal does however include recommendations from the Consultative Working Party, consisting of the legal services of the European Parliament, the Council and the Commission, who made a certain number of technical remarks regarding the text of the codified proposal.
The text of the proposal has been amended accordingly.
Apart from these aspects, the proposal is a straightforward codification of existing texts, without any change in their substance.
