The Committee on Foreign Affairs appointed its chairman, Jacek SARYUSZ-WOLSKI (EPP-ED, PL), as rapporteur under the simplified procedure (Rule 43 of Parliament's Rules of Procedure). The report, which was tabled for plenary on 26/03/2008, recommended that Parliament give its assent to the conclusion of the Protocol to the Stabilisation and Association Agreement between the European Communities and their Member States, of the one part, and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia of the other part, to take account of the accession of the Republic of Bulgaria and Romania to the European Union.
