The Committee on Legal Affairs adopted a report drafted by Lidia Joanna GERINGER de OEDENBERG (PES, PL) approving, under the 1st reading of the codecision procedure, on the amended proposal for a directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on the minimum safety and health requirements for the use of work equipment by workers at work (second individual Directive within the meaning of Article 16(1) of Directive 89/391/EEC) (codified version). It is recalled that this is a reconsultation of Parliament.
Although the proposal was not the subject of the parliamentary committee’s “formal” amendments, the proposal does, however, take into account the recommendations of the Consultative Working Party of the respective legal services of the European Parliament, Council and Commission.
