Adaption of a number of instruments with regard to the regulatory procedure with scrutiny, "omnibus" Regulation, Part One

The European Parliament adopted by 629 votes to 11, with 8 abstentions, a legislative resolution amending the proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council adapting a number of instruments subject to the procedure referred to in Article 251 of the Treaty to Council Decision 1999/468/EC, as amended by Decision 2006/512/EC, with regard to the regulatory procedure with scrutiny – Part One.

The report had been tabled for consideration in plenary by József SZAJER (EPP-ED, HU) on behalf of the Committee on Legal Affairs.

The legislative resolution contains a small number of technical amendments aimed at adapting a number of instruments subject to the codecision procedure, with regard to the regulatory procedure with scrutiny. These amendments were the result of a compromise between the European Parliament and the Council.
