The European
Parliament adopted by 626 votes to 29, with 5 abstentions, a decision on the
powers and responsibilities of European Parliament standing committees.
The European
Parliament decides that this decision will enter into force on the first day
of the first part-session of the seventh parliamentary term. There will be 20
standing committees as follows:
