The Committee on Budgetary Control adopted the report by Inés AYALA SENDER (S&D, ES).
It called on the European Parliament to deliver a favourable opinion on the Council’s nomination of Klaus Heiner Lehne (DE) as a Member of the Court of Auditors.
At its meeting of 23 January 2014, the Committee on Budgetary Control heard the Council’s nominee for membership of the Court of Auditors. Following this hearing, the Budget Control Committee considered that the nominee fulfilled the requirements laid down in Article 286(1) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU).
