By letter of 17.10.2019, the General Secretariat of the Council informed the European Parliament that the Council's recommendation for the appointment of a member of the Executive Board of the European Central Bank would be subject to an interinstitutional procedure (Parliament’s consultation) in accordance with Article 283(2) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.
