The European Parliament decided, by 635 votes to 17, with 44 abstentions, to approve the appointment of Natasha Cazenave as Executive Director of the European Securities and Markets Authority.
On 12 March 2021, the Board of Supervisors of the European Securities and Markets Authority proposed, in an open selection procedure, the appointment of Natasha Cazenave as Executive Director for a five-year term. On 22 April 2021, the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs held a hearing with the candidate, during which she made an opening statement and then answered questions put by committee members.
