PURPOSE: partial renewal of the Court of Auditors (2022) - appointment of the Slovakian candidate.
Under Article 286(2) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, the Council appoints members of the European Court of Auditors, acting by a qualified majority on proposals by the respective Member States, after consultation of the European Parliament.
The European Parliament is consulted on the Council's proposal to appoint Ms Katarína KASZASOVÁ as a Slovakian member of the European Court of Auditors.
The candidate has been managing director of the auditing oversight authority (Úrad pre dohľad nad výkonom auditu), Slovakia since 2020. She has previous experience working with the European Investment Bank (EIB) in Luxembourg.
