Motocycle industry and environment: components and characteristic of two- or three-wheel motor vehicles

1993/0470(COD)
The report by Mr BARTON adopted by the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs and Industrial Policy recommended that the House should adopt immediately, and without any amendments to the substance, the eight chapters of the directive that did not give rise to any controversy. It asked that the chapters that were controversial (gas emissions, pollution, noise, etc.) be withdrawn from the proposal. This did not mean that Parliament was opposed to Community rules on these chapters, but simply that it wanted to have more time to study these controversial points and put forward amendments.
