Reference laboratories for the monitoring of marine biotoxins

Adopting the report by Mr Allan MACARTNEY (ARE, UK), the Committee on Fisheries approved the proposal to amend Decision 93/383/EEC on reference laboratories for the monitoring of marine biotoxins. The aim of this proposal is to take account of the change in the reference laboratory in the United Kingdom and to ensure that the list of these national reference laboratories can be revised in future at the request of the Member State in question. This proposal responds to the need to simplify administrative procedures wherever possible.�
