EC/Guinea-Bissau fisheries agreement: protocol for the period from 16 June 1997 to 15 June 2001

The Committee adopted the report by Mr IMAZ SAN MIGUEL (PPE, E) on a new fisheries Agreement with Guinea-Bissau. It sought the conclusion of a Protocol establishing fishing possibilities and financial compensation. It emphasized, in particular, the need for the European Parliament to be better informed, especially on fishery resources and surveillance measures, through the presentation of a report from the European Commission, before the Protocol expired. �
