Reference laboratories for the monitoring of marine biotoxins

OBJECTIVE: amend Decision 93/383/EEC on reference laboratories for the monitoring of marine biotoxins. SUBSTANCE: a proposal is made to amend the annex to Decision 93/383/EEC in order to specify that the national reference laboratory for the monitoring of marine biotoxins in the United Kingdom will henceforth be the Marine Laboratory (replacing the Torry Research Station). Should the Member States make further changes in the designation of their national reference laboratories, a proposal is also made to introduce a clause governing the revision of the annex by the Commission at the request of a Member State. �
