The European Parliament approved the resolution by Mr Alexander de ROO (Greens/EFA, NL) on the joint text approved by the Conciliation Committee regarding technical specifications of tyres. Although the agreement falls short of demands made by Parliament at second reading relating to noise limits, it does provide for a reduction of 1 db in noise limit values.
