Reference laboratories for the monitoring of marine biotoxins

PURPOSE: to amend decision 93/383/EEC on reference laboratories for the monitoring of marine biotoxins. COMMUNITY MEASURE: Council decision 1999/312/EC. CONTENT: The laboratories originally designated by Belgium, Finland, Germany, Greece, Spain, Italy, the UNited Kingdom and Sweden as national laboratories for the monitoring of marine biotoxins no longer fulfil the functions for which they were designated or have in the meantime changed their name. As a result, this decision amends the annex to decision 93/383/EEC accordingly to take account of notifications submitted by the Member States concerning national reference laboratories. The decision also allows the Commission the option of amending the Annex following any notification submitted to it. ENTRY INTO FORCE: 08/05/1999.�
