Decision on the number and numerical strength of the interparliamentary delegations

 The European Parliament adopted a proposal for a decision tabled under Rule 188 on the number and numerical strength of the interparliamentary delegations. It decided inter alia to split the Delegation for Relations with the countries of South Asia and the South Asia Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) into three delegations : Delegation for relations with the countries of South Asia; Delegation for Relations with India; and Delegation for relations with Afghanistan.

The following day (15 March 2007), the House adopted the proposal by the Conference of Presidents on the appointments to the interparliamentary delegations.
