The Committee on Constitutional Affairs adopted the recommendation contained in the report drafted by Paulo RANGEL (EPP, PT) on the European Council's proposal not to convene a Convention for the addition of a Protocol on the concerns of the Irish people on the Treaty of Lisbon, to the Treaty on European Union and to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.

It recommends that the European Parliament gives its consent to the European Council's proposal not to convene a Convention.
