Herring: conditions of landing for industrial purposes other than direct human consumption
1997/0353(CNS) - 14/04/1998
LANGENHAGEN report on conditions under which herring may be landed for industrial purposes other than direct human consumption was adopted. The report concerns herring fishing in the Baltic. The amendments seek to extend the zone in which industrial fishing is banned and to authorise in this same zone the landing of herring for industrial purposes other than direct human consumption provided the herring has been landed unsorted with sprats and/or other species and does not comprise more than 20% of the landings.
