The Committee on Transport and Tourism adopted the report by Jaromír KOHLÍČEK (GUE/NGL, CZ) on the proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council repealing Regulation (EEC) No 1192/69 of the Council on common rules for the normalisation of the accounts of railway undertakings.
The parliamentary committee recommended that the European Parliament’s position adopted at first reading under the ordinary legislative procedure should amend the Commission’s proposal.
Members proposed that the decision to repeal the text should be postponed. The regulation would thus enter into force two years following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
