The European Parliament adopted a resolution drafted by Jorge Salvador HERNANDEZ MOLLAR (EPP-ED, Spain) and slightly amended the Commission's proposal. (Please refer to the document dated 21/03/03.) Parliament added that Ecuador's inclusion in Annex 1 is a sign of the serious economic situation there. Ecuador should therefore be considered in development aid programmes as a priority objective.�
