OBJECTIVE: To allocate the three-year quota for potato starch between the producer Member
States for the years 1998/1999, 1999/2000 and 2000/2001.
COMMUNITY MEASURE: Council Regulation (EC) 1284/98 amending regulation (EC) 1868/94
establishing a quota system for the production of potato starch.
SUBSTANCE: Under the regulation, the following producer Member States are allocated the
following maximum quotas for the production of potato starch for the 1998/1999, 1999/2000 and
2000/2001 marketing years:
- Denmark: 178 460 tonnes
- Germany: 696 271 tonnes
- Spain: 2000 tonnes
- France: 281 516 tonnes
- Netherlands: 538 307 tonnes
- Austria: 49 100 tonnes
- Finland: 54 750 tonnes
- Sweden: 63 900 tonnes
- Total: 1 864 304 tonnes.
ENTRY INTO FORCE: 24/06/1998. The regulation is applicable from 01/07/1998.
